My First Blog as a Natural Lady

I know there are soooooo many blogs now about natural hair, one thing I learned in starting my adventure is that people, for the most part start blogging about their hair after it has grown out a little!! Wellll, I have been natural for the first time for two months and it is just now starting to form somewhat of a curl pattern. I have tried so many different things after looking for things to try on YouTube.

I started out with jeri curl juice....yes I said it, I tried using curl enhancers that are used for the jeri curl...and well, that lasted for about a day, mostly because of the smell!! Thennnnn I tried the Organics line, which actually I liked a lot, the smell is fabulous. I used the daily Olive Oil moisturizer, the curl keeper and the olive oil. It made my hair look and smell FABULOUS... I LOVED IT! However, my hair would stay wet for like 1/2 the day, so as the weather got colder had to switch it up.

There is a wonderful lady in Greensboro named Aminah Lawson who specializes in natural hair, and she also has a product called Created by Nature, which are all natural oils, juices and berries....LOL! Sooo started using her pomade at night which is an extremely enhanced shea butter mix. In the mornings my present routine is conditioner washing, Carol's Daughter leave in conditioner, olive oil, (then towel pat dry), after towel pat dry, Carol's Daughter hair milk. So far feels great, smells great, looks different than the organics but still working on it.

Tonight....the natural relaxer from the lady on youtube (coconut cream condensed, coconut oil, and plain yogurt) duh, duh, duhhh!!!! Well a little altered, Coconut creamer versus the coconut cream concentrate...sooooo we'll see how this works!!
