Spoke Too Soon
Sooooo, okay, when I wrote the last blog I had purchased some Miss Jessie's Baby Buttercream online along with the Silkener. A little impatient I tried the silkener the day I wrote the last blog and was obviously disappointed with the results. This morning however, I tried the Baby Buttercream, and am HAPPY!!!! I am loving my hair right now. The curls are stretched more so you can see the actual length of my hair, and it is touchably soft without being GREASY!!! Yaaaayyyy, Woohoo!! So I will go ahead and gives a thumbs up to the Baby Buttercream. Oh yeah, and it smells good too. An extra plus.

While I have Expensive Tastes, My Hair Doesn't
What I have learned in this adventure, is in order to see what works on your hair, you have to try it. So, i have tried the Carol's Daughter products as well as the Miss Jessie's products. THEY DON'T WORK FOR ME!!! I don't know what it is, but YouTube is filled with success stories involving these products. I have tried the Miss Jessies Curly Pudding for instance, which made my hair look DRY!!! Nappy and dry in fact, and that is not cute. The Hair Milk by Carol's Daughter works occasionally, but can be really greasy. I like moisture but not greasy moisture.
Last night, I tried Miss Jessie's Cream stretch Silkener or something...disaster!!! My hair was dry and did not look like any of the pictures!!! So I stuck to what I know, Africa's Best Curl Keeper, $2.50 at Beauty World. Moist and curly, my hair knows what it likes!!!

Twisting at least once a month

I am trying to imagine my hair at a longer length with the two strand twist and untwist. So I twist it at least once a month to see the results. Yesterday I used Mizani, Rose Conditioning Hairdress, and the Wal-Mart Shea Butter leave in conditioner. Aminah, a hairstylist here in Greensboro who specializes in natural hair care said to try the Mixed Chicks leave in for a twist out. I will try that one next month and post results. Here is a pic of my most recent twist out. Enjoy and have a great weekend!!

The more things change the more they stay the same!
I did forget to mention that although my daily routine changes....well daily, my night routine has been rather constant. Before I go to bed, I use the Created by Nature pomade. At first I would wet my hair and then use the pomade, but now I just use the pomade. I feel like I get all of my nutrients at night!!! Alright, that is it for the day until I post pics!! Holla!!
Four Months..what I have learned

Four Months today, will post the twist out pics once I try it again this weekend. What in the world will reduce shrinkage. My hair has grown but it is difficult to tell due to the shrinkage. The last week I have been on the Hair Milk, but it tends to be greasy, perhaps I am using too much. Oh well, will have to try it some I guess. So far my winner is the Organics Africa's Best, Curl Keeper, it defines the curl, and it smells like candy, and it is not greasy!! I don't want people wiping their hands after they run their hands through my hair!!! That is embarrassing!! Will post pics later, have a great day!!
